Emily Montanez - Verbal Commitment

Congratulations are in order for Emily, who has made a verbal commitment to CSU - East Bay Hayward, CA.

Jaclyn Trujillo - Congratulation will be attending Mission College this fall.

Alicia Cappelli - Verbal Commitment
Congratulations are in order for Alicia, who has made a verbal commitment to Wellesley College, MA. Alicia, along with her parents Mark and Ann-Marie, made the trip east where Alicia attended the Holiday Camp, hosted by head coach Keri O'Meara and her staff.

Megan Smith - Santa Clara U - Played for West Valley College in Saratoga, Ca for the 2007 and 2008 seasons ... named to 2nd team All League for both seasons ... named team MVP in 2007 ... was a recipient of the Golden Glove award for the 2007 season.

Kate Eshelman - Wagner College - NY - 2008 (sophomore): NEC Pitcher of the Week (3/24) following consecutive shutouts vs. Lafayette 11-0 (3/21) and Siena 4-0 (3/22)…Finished the season with a 9-9 overall record on the mound…Pitched in 27 games with 21 starts…Recorded a 3.54 ERA…Led the team in shutouts (4); Siena (3/22), SFPA (4/6), Robert Morris (4/7) and Sacred Heart (4/20)

Amy Baxter - Brown U. The Bears starting catcher, Baxter played and started in all 43 games...she carried a .257 batting average and led the team with a .364 on base percentage...Recorded two home runs...the first against Providence College (3/4) and the other against Youngstown State (3/10) during Brown's 6-3 victory

Chrissy Motzny - Humboldt State U - Started all of the team’s 75 games ... Was third on the team with 17 doubles and 10 stolen bases ... Fourth on the team with 29 runs and 62 hits ... Recorded a .266 batting average ... Hit her two home runs of the season during the West Region tournament, her second helping the Jacks defeat Western Oregon 9-0 in the championship game ... Named to the NCAA DII championship all-tournament team ... Earned a spot on the CCAA All-Academic team ...

Katie Taber - Troy U - Played in 20 games ... Started against Louisiana Tech on Feb. 23 ... Batted .077 on the year ... Recorded two hits against FAMU on March 27 ... Also rapped hits against North Texas and Birmingham Southern.

Ashley Britton - Sonoma State U. Was a two-time First Team All-Conference choice for the Vikings...ranked second in the state in home runs as a sophomore in 2008...named her team’s most valuable player...is a 2006 graduate of Westmont High School.

CK - Humboldt State U.  - Started all of the team’s 75 games … Led the team in at bats (267), runs (62), stolen bases (20) and assists (64) … Was second with six home runs … Third on the team in hits (88), batting average (.330), RBI’s (37), put outs (152), slugging percentage (. 457) and fielding percentage (.983)

Erica Simington - Kansas: Played two seasons of softball for the Jayhawks... played catcher for KU... helped team to 2006 Big XII Championship as a freshman... earned several academic accolades, including a Academic All-Big XII Second Team honor in 2007... also earned placement on the Big XII Commissioner's Honor Roll and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll... Dean's List honoree and member of National Honor's Society
