“Your out”, the umpire calls. Do you know the rulebook?

In softball how many ways can you be out? According to the rules there are more than thirty ways to be put out.

If you're batting, you are out if:

1. You are batting out of order and it’s appealed.
2. You fail to take your position at the plate within one minute after the umpire has called for you.
3. You interfere with the catcher.
4. You change your position from the right-hand side of the batter's box to the left-hand side or vice-versa, while the pitcher is ready to pitch.
5. You hit a ball while standing outside of the batter's box.
6. You fail to get out of the way of a play made for your teammate who is stealing home.
7. You strike out.
8. You have 2 strikes and then you hit a foul tip, which is caught.
9. You strike out and though the catcher doesn't hold the last strike, the ball has touched your body or clothing
10. You bunt foul on the last strike.
11. You hit an infield fly with a runner on first with less than 2 out.
12. You hit a fly that is caught
13. You bunt, and hit the ball a second time with your bat while running towards first.
14. You're thrown out at first.

If you're a runner, you are out if:

15. You're tagged off base.
16. You run outside the base-paths.
17. You pass a runner on the base-paths.
18. You're hit by a batted ball in fair territory.
19. You run bases in reverse order in order to confuse the opposition and an opposing fielder touches a ball to the base you would normally occupy.
20. After a fly is caught you do not tag up at the base you were occupying and you're tagged with the ball on some other base.
21. You fail to avoid interfering with a fielder who is attempting to field a batted ball. The fact that you try to avoid bumping into him/her is immaterial.
22. You intentionally interfere with a thrown ball.
23. You deliberately knock a ball out of the mitt of the fielder who was attempting to put you out.
24. You're forced by a batted ball and a fielder holding the ball touches the bag to which you were forced.
25. You fail to touch a base and the fielder holding the ball touches the base you omitted to tag.
26. After a game is temporarily suspended you fail to tag up on the base you occupied when time was called and you touch the next base after the pitcher delivers the ball.
27. You're on the same base occupied by a teammate.

28. Your coach physically assists you to return to base while a play is being made for you.
29. You re on third and a team-mate hits an infield grounder and your coach runs toward home in an attempt to convince the fielder the play should be made to home.
30. Your teammate who has been put out moves slowly off the base-paths and thereby obstructs a play to tag you.
31. Your teammates stand or collect around a base for which you are trying, and therefore confuse the fielder who is making a play for you.
