Fighter
pilots use a system called the
OODA Loop to help
make split-second, strategic
decisions. It goes like this:
Observe - use all of
your senses to know what is
happening around you.
Orient - understand
what you've observed. Is the defense
back because they want you to bunt
or because they aren't paying
attention to who is at bat?
Decide - weight the
options available and then Pick One!
Act - carry out your
decision.
Using the
OODA Loop in your
next game will help you stay a step
ahead and make it easier to make a
decision. |
